Small Business Administration

Since its establishment in 1953, the Small Business Administration has been dedicated to supporting small businesses across the United States by offering advocacy, access to capital, assistance in government contracting, and resources for entrepreneurial development. Their core objective is to aid American businesses in their inception, expansion, and resilience. The SBA provides an array of financing choices, free counseling for both new and established businesses, and collaborates with federal departments to allocate 23% of prime contract dollars to small businesses. Innovation Connector

The Innovation Connector is an organization dedicated to cultivating innovation and entrepreneurship in East Central Indiana. It acts as a central resource hub, providing fully furnished office spaces free from home distractions, equipped with high-speed fiber optic internet. Additionally, it offers meeting and training spaces, aiming to support startups, small businesses, and entrepreneurs. Through diverse programs, mentorship, and networking opportunities, the Innovation Connector fosters growth, collaboration, and economic development in the region, empowering individuals and businesses in their innovative endeavors. Digital Literacy Program

The ECI Regional Planning District has partnered with Northstar to introduce the Digital Literacy Program for East Central Indiana residents. Available through the ECI Regional Planning District, the free program offers online modules covering various digital skills until December 2024, potentially extending based on success. It focuses on fundamental computer skills, internet usage, software proficiency, and diverse topics like social media, career search, and online safety, aiming to empower residents for daily life, professional endeavors, and education while emphasizing security and credibility in online activities.
