ECIRPD 2023 Schedule

The East Central Indiana Regional Planning District has a busy 2023 planned. A trip to Las Vegas to secure economic development leads for Delaware County has already taken place, and that is just the beginning. On March 28th – 30th, ECI Regional Planning District staff will take a trip to Washington, D.C. to meet with the EPA to discuss the current grant that will go toward brownfield cleanups.

From April 30th – May 4th, Executive Director Bill Walters will attend the SelectUSA Investment Summit in Maryland. It is the top event in the US for foreign direct investment promotion. The purpose of the event is to connect investors, companies, economic development organizations, and industry experts to take advantage of every obtainable opportunity to make investment deals happen through US investment.

This fall is when the annual ECIRPD trip to Washington D.C. is set to take place. This is for elected officials to get in front of legislators and agencies.

From June 18th – June 24th, ECIRPD staff like Bill Walters will accompany Delaware County Commissioners on an International economic development trip to Italy.

From August 7th – 11th, Executive Director Bill Walters and Senior Project Manager Brad Bookout will attend the US Brownfield Training Conference in Detroit, Michigan. The purpose of this conference is to learn how you can access grants and maximize the economic, environmental, and social performance in your area. This funding is intended to transform communities into sustainable and environmentally equitable places, enhance climate resiliency, and more.
