INOX Progress

INOX Market Service, an Italian-based stainless steel manufacturer, has named Delaware County to be the location of its North American Headquarters. INOX was established in 1989, has locations in Europe, Mexico, and India, and now is a leading manufacturer and distributor of stainless steel globally. INOX production will help support many other industries such as large appliance manufacturers, elevator and escalator companies, and the cooking industry. The company has also taken many steps toward reducing its carbon emissions and pollution.

Bill Walters, the Executive Director of the East Central Indiana Regional Planning District (ECIRPD), met INOX executives back in 2019 at the Select USA Conference in Maryland. They were offered a tour of Delaware County, and now three years later, the facility is close to achieving full operational capacity.

Federico Sbettega, owner and INOX Board of Directors member had this to say about the new North American headquarters: “We looked at multiple locations within the U.S., and after meeting with state and Delaware County officials, we quickly recognized that their organization and personalized support exceeded that of many other states. We want to be part of a welcoming community like Delaware County, and we find tremendous value in the state and community investing in their futures; and that is exactly what we saw from the leaders in Indiana.”

INOX will play a significant role in the Delaware County economy, as they will invest $15 million in the community and plan to create up to 101 jobs by the end of 2024. They began their construction of the INOX facility back in the spring of 2021, and are expected to be up and running by the 4th quarter of 2022, with the ribbon-cutting ceremony set for September.

INOX is currently hiring for positions in Muncie. Those who are interested should visit their website at https://inoxmarketamerica.com/.
