CANPACK IS HIRING

CANPACK, a packaging manufacturer and leading can maker worldwide, is opening its second aluminum beverage can facility in the U.S. in Muncie, Indiana, on the Southwest Corner of South Cowan and West Fuson Roads. The Poland-based company, owned by Giorgi Global Holdings, INC., has 28 production facilities located in 19 different countries around the world.

This year, CANPACK will be hiring for skilled and semi-skilled manufacturing and plant management positions in their North American facilities. Some of the jobs they are looking to fill currently in Muncie include human resources business partner, spray/necker technician, accounts payable specialist, process technician, decorator technician, front-end technician, and spare parts coordinator. 

A human resources business partner would be required to give tactical and strategic HR generalist support for the CANPACK plant. This position focuses on talent acquisition, employee engagement, training, development, HR metrics and compliance, an understanding of the business, and the ability to ensure good business outcomes. 

Spray/necker technicians would make sure that spray/necker machines are operating in the most efficient way possible within quality specifications. 

An accounts payable specialist would perform duties that make sure vendors are paid for their services and products. They would review and process invoices, audits, and credit card bills, answer vendor questions, reconcile vendor statements, process and maintain 1099 statements, and process and distribute checks.

A process technician would maintain and oversee the control environments for the washers and can washing equipment, coolant filtration systems, and wastewater treatment systems for the CANPACK facility. This position requires basic laboratory testing and working with various types of pumps, mixers, chemical feeds, pH, and tank level reading equipment. Process technicians are also tasked with repairing and replacing wastewater equipment and systems. Any problems and maintenance of equipment and facility systems are to be documented by process technicians. 

Decorator technicians ensure that the decorator machine is operating efficiently within quality specifications. Deco technicians are to perform daily maintenance plans and audits of the machines. 

Front-end technicians would be responsible for conducting operations on front-end machines for example coil handling machines, cupping presses, body makers, trimmers, and balers. 

A spare parts coordinator would work with the plant operations and maintenance teams to make sure parts are allocated and recorded in an appropriate time frame through work orders. They would also be responsible for organizing and maintaining an inventory of spare parts and supplies to fill customer commitment and achieve key performance indicators. They would also manage the placing of orders, receiving parts into the CMMS system, and adjusting low stock items.
